Sun Sees no Dark

The Sun,
Gives off light.
It is the light from the Sun that powers Earth,
Gives it its life.
It is the light from the Sun that feeds the Plants
That give us air to breath
Which allows us to survive.
The Sun warms our bodies
Makes the Summer warm
And keeps our hopes up in the Winter
When we see the Sun still shining on
Through the harsh cold Winter
It is still there
Showing us
That it doesn't give up.

The Sun
Sees no dark.
It can only see light
And the Planets, People, and Things
That it gives its light to.
The dark
Cowers behind the Sun's light
Covering us with cold from the Sun
Obscuring our view
Of everything else
Making us see how small we really are.
Hiding the Moon on the darkest nights
It swallows our entire Universe
And then cowardly runs away when the Sun comes out again.
And the Sun
Knows nothing of this.
For the Sun
Sees no dark.
The Sun
Sees only the light
That it creates.
