an older poem of mine |
| After Sunset Some times before you sleep, You can feel it sinking in. The feelings best left alone, Emotions you would rather not have. You let in the darkness. Past your walls, Put up for your protection. Like a leach, like a disease, It eats at you destroying. You embrace the darkness. Inside you try to keep it, You can’t hide the look in your eyes. Seeing it in others, Just beneath the surface. You become the darkness. |
