Falling in Love

A few years ago
Something happened to me
I met someone special
And they saw something inside me

What I didn’t know
Was what was to occur
We became best friends
And I fell in love with her

Her loving me through it all
She brought out the best in me
I began to trust and believe
Seeing honestly what love could be

She became my life
As we shared the gift of love
Something so perfect and beautiful
It could’ve only been sent from above

We became stronger together
Loving each other more each day
As the dreams of marrying her
In my mind came into play

I learned what love was
And all that love between two could be
As sharing a future with her
Was something I could plainly see

My love grew stronger
I trusted and knew
She was right for me
As I believed our love was true

God gave me a blessing
When I met her I didn’t know
Now I know a life without her
Is something I could not go
