Indelible experience- I'll take this to my grave

An indelible moment was all we shared,
Just one significant moment you and I have had;
The eye contact was interaction of some kind,
Waves of turbulence it introduced to my mind.

We stood on different platforms-you and I,
In this transient domain, I met your eye,
And I saw that beyond the projected facade
Lies a masterpiece, a work of art.

Like a mirage, you faded suddenly,
Were you but a mere fantasy?
Yet, in my mind's eye I still can see
Your eyes burning with intensity.

Until the last breath I take,
This memory I'll never forsake,
The electrifying meeting of eyes,
And silent, unspoken goodbyes.
