I stand

Sometimes, all you can do is write until you can face the world again. Thats what this is.

Day in and day out
Things change
But people stay the same.
Life passes on through
People forget what to do
So I stand
Dividing the land
The good and the bad
Things change
But people stay the same
Just crossing my heart
Praying for the start
Of something new
For something else to do
So I don't have to see people this way
I've tried to wish it away
But it stays
My heart hurts
Coils and curls
And I cry
Tears not from my eyes
They're inside
They hide
Things continue to change
People stuck in one place
I stay the same
Playing this game
Here i still stand
Protecting this land
The good and the bad
Because thats all I can do
