My thoughts inspired by the recent tragedy at Virginia Tech.

So many lives,
Not just this time,
So many lives,
Taken by crime
So many lives,
Devastated by guns
So many lives,
Will you be the next one.
So many lives,
Taken everyday
So many lives,
Even though we pray
And pray
So many lives,
Virginia Tech and Columbine
So many lives,
Your neighborhood and mine
So many lives,
911 and the Twin Towers
So many lives,
Every minute, every hour
So many lives,
Gang wars and drive bys
So many lives,
Again, will you be next to die
So many lives,
Taken everyday
So many lives,
Never meant to be that way,
never meant to be this way.
