The Awakening

This is just some stuff that popped into my head one day.

As the sun sets for the final time
And the moon falls from the night sky
Darkness settles in over all
Still silence reigns supreme
No star light
No beacons to guide you home
All alone, together with you
As the oceans die
And the earth stands still
Little remains to grasp on to
The time of man is gone
As the ground opens up
I hear them scream my name
Calling me to the other side
Yet alone I sit with my thoughts
No cares, No worries
Here in my final hours
I can find no words to say
As I rise up once again
Only to find disappointment and strife
In the hearts and souls of men
