diversity

A poem about the way I feel about gay rights.

I stand tall for diversity
people can find strength in me
here I am devoted and strong
telling hate it is still wrong
we work for a better community
and to build an immunity
we have a day of silence
in honor and remembrance
of people who died because of hate
for our cause it is not too late
we stand together for equal rights
and against pain and hate crimes
though people still suffer endless nights
here we are waiting for better times.
