Autism; Raising Awareness

I have Asperger's Syndrome which is a form of Autism. I thought I would share my feelings

AUTISM

through some eyes of view we may seem rustic,

abnormal, flawed and not yet trusted,

we see the hopes of a future so great.

we march together through the golden gate,

single is one and one is to less,

we need to unite with what beats beneath our chests,

eccentric, bizarre, a picaso carved in stone.

we sometimes forget we are not all alone,

there are many of us, 1 within every 165,

we need to take hold and value ours lives,

born different, when it comes to life you feel you missed,

but difference isn't a curse, being different is a gift.
