Wasted Tears

I wasted tears because I believed
You loved me
But I knew somehow you didn't.
You acted like it but your heart was so cold
Your heart will always be.
I knew you planned on leaving me
And I just acted foolish
Played pretend and kept on loving you
But by the time we got to the end
You were so far gone
I don't care what happens to you now
It's your own fault
Whatever does happen.
If this is what hate feels like,
I don't want to feel it again,
But I know I wasted my tears and love
On someone I thought would be a friend.
