today's modern punk.

Pierced lips, pierced nose,
black eyeliner highlights a
disaffected stare.

NoFX and Blink
and other band patches state
you know what is cool.

So much hangs upon
your image of punk fashion;
rebellion for sale.

You wear all the right
things, summed up in two words:
Fashionably Punk.

Why should I mock youth?
I shouldn't even bother
when youth mocks itself.
