Breaking Fire and water!

Breaking fire and water near the crumbleing cave at the edge of earth were he lies. Seing the birds flying by with out a care. He feels the empty space crawling near him and the open space is getting ever so small. The birds fly to the ground suddenly and he notice's that the light is gone and nothing seems to make sense he looks at the ground and he see's that it is there no more.
