a poem i wrote when my boyfriend left me and how he had been cheating

I'm sitting here remembering
how I just stood there watching you
knowing that i should say something,
anything would do.
You didn't think I knew
where you went every night after dinner.
I've seen you once or twice with her.
why didn't you to tell me you weren't happy here
with me and little Destiny.
You know she loves you
more than words could say.
Maybe someday I can tell her
how daddy walked away.
I remember how one day
you came home and said
you needed some time to clear your mind.
You didn't know then
that I knew about your affair with her.
I should have yelled and screamed
and told that you were just like every other man,
but I didn't because i had to be strong for our little Destiny.
