The Gift

What is it we all seek? Sex is everywhere, its the rest of it that leaves us longing.

satin, bows and colored paper.

It isnt one, giving themselves away.
Nor a birthday gift with nothing in return.

Its a pay it forward attitude.
Its a realization that you found the One.

The gift is in both giving taking and finding.
Both finding growth wrapped in another.

One is just that, alone, singular
Two takes both giving of themselves

Parameters of power sort itself
Respect, honor and commitment must lead.

A desire to be present, to put it first
THAT is the gift, not the act of submission.

Any loving relationship has submission
but it must come from both sides.

Both must realize what is needed
and what is superficial.

Both must give away parts of themselves
in which both are submissive to the passion
