The most precious treasure I can give. |
| There is a secret place no one ventures to, With reds, royal purples, and exotic blues. A beautiful vale, in deep forest green; A place of ethereal beauty unchanging. In the quiet of night I slip there Tending my lovely garden with care. A place of constant growth and desire A place unreached by hatred's fire. And in a place beneath the cottage keep An old and sacred key lies deep. Hidden from all, yet meant for one- To the heart of my garden none may come. Many come to the gate, asking to be let in But none the treasured key may win. So I continue to live alone Waiting some day for my knight to come. And a true knight he must surely be, With strength, truth, and love all three. Only one such as he the key may win And then we both our life begin. But until the day when my knight may enter The key must lay buried deep in the center; And I'll go on readying my Eden For the day, you my love, wish to enter. |
