| A bird I never knew that clouds Could be such a brilliant sight The cloud-gray in your eyes Love at this age Is said to be a footnote To the life ahead A pampered patience we all once knew Bedtime was early at night At day we strove for the prize Your heartfelt smile Acts as a mirror For heavenly grins from the skies This word Is a bird That pushes its way From between my lips Let it settle, sweet dear Let is sit in your nest And coo soft comfort Into your ear I never knew that sunlight Was a mere reflection of you Of the joy that springs from your veins Love at this age Is said to last forever However long forever may be -B- |
