Figurine

I was longing for someone and angry at myself when I wrote this.

I have a hot personality,
or that's what I've been told.
But what I wouldn't give
to be a statuesque Afghani woman,
buried in a cloth coffin.
My personality snuffed out long ago.
Trapped with a man who I didn't choose
and who may not love me.
I may even be one of many,
but I wouldn't ever be alone.
