Unheard Melody

Another older poem. I wrote this as a song in my head but it's really much more of a poem.

And I
I’m drawn to you
Like a river to the sea
Please draw close to me
And you
You’re what I need
To fill this empty space
Within my heart

Such a beautiful night
All those beautiful stars
More than just a metaphor
For the light in our eyes

We walk along
Listening to nature’s secret song
Can you hear her?

She sings about love
And about bliss
Her song’s about living
And that last first kiss
She tells us to keep movin’ on
We can’t stay here for long
Cause there’s a life out there to live
And living is something
We all have yet to do
She knows I need you

And I
I’m drawn to you
Like a river to the sea
