This is a bit of a confusing poem, but I'll answer any questions.

A sacrifice of blood is life-giving, although it takes away life.

A sacrifice of the hands is creative, although it takes away ability.

A sacrifice of the mind is wise, although it takes away intelligence.

A sacrifice of the soul is fulfilling, although it leaves a shell.

A sacrifice of the heart is lovely, although it takes away love.
