Poem about how God is my strength, my rock, and my salvation

The suns rays strike my face; it’s a new day,
I look to you and begin to pray,
“Oh God hear my cry, do not let me stray,
Please grant me strength throughout this new day.”


I need your wings to shelter me,
I need your eyes to help me see,
I need your thoughts to help me be,
I need your words to speak to me.

With my mouth I will give thanks,
In the midst of many I will praise him,
Help me LORD through your kind love,
LORD please deliver me through your grace.


As the sun sets and the day comes to pass,
I look to you and begin to pray,
“Oh God I thank you for all of your love,
Grant me the strength to live a new day.”
