Daddy was there

A gift for my Dad.

For as long as I can remember
Daddy was always there
He showed us how to live and love
And showed us how to care.
His family looked up to him
We listened without fear
We trusted Daddys wise advise
His love for us clear.
He taught us to respect ourselves
He lived the words he taught
Forever an inspiration
His love for us was caught.
Whenever Daddy looked at us
His eyes were filled with pride
Even when our choice was wrong
He stood right by our side.
And now its Fathers Day once more
We'll proudly say to Dad,
Thanks for all the many years
Of special times we've had.
