small poem on lost love

I gave all that I had to give.
Everyday devoted to you,
All my dreams focused
On your wants, needs, and desires.
And happy was I in that,
As long as you were there,
And we were as one.
Yet I failed to realize,
That your heart was not
As devoted as mine.
You loved me for the moment,
Not enough to relinquish pride.
You could not see past
The anger and resentment
That you held towards others.
And the love you once claimed
Has vanished.
