The Dream

just a dream

Across the sand we run,

Hand in hand, and heart to heart.

We cling to one another

As emotions rise and passions start.

Were fresh and new,

But neither can deny the feeling.

My mind races in warning

While my heart and body sing.

Weve waited for this moment,

Theres nothing stopping us now,

Were alone in the moonlight,

Wrapped together in nothing but a towel.

Were both shy in our exploring,

Unsure as we kiss.

But the fears just wash away

And passion over flows in bliss....

I awaken slowly

To the suns brutal light,

Im alone in my bed

With no comfort in sight.

Why do I do this to myself?

Wishing you were here again.

Youre gone and Im left

To live with the regret of your sin.

Maybe one day youll come back

To kiss the loneliness away.

For now Ill just keep dreaming,

Praying maybe somehow, someday
