I searched for years
to find completion.

I hid in darkness
afraid of the light.

I gave up dreaming
I gave up wishing
I gave up trusting.

And then there was
you.

You carried me into
the light.

Your love stoked the fire
of trust
of wishes
of dreams.

I found strength.
I found completion.
I found the courage
to live
to love
to express
to hope.

I found the other half of
my soul.

I found
you.
