A poem about an abusive relationship

Tear off the reigns
Break off the chains
Loosen the noose
Stop causing pain

Don't stamp on my head
Don't rip up my heart
Don't suffocate my lungs
Don't pull my life apart

When your open your mouth
You belch acid and fire
Burning me inside out
As you make yourself feel higher

And those hands
Ment for loving and caring
Are only used for
Hurting and scaring

And the words I love you
I doubt they are true
You say you love me
You're nothing but an irony

Love is more than a word
It's about actions too
Only say you love me
If you really do

Between us there is hurt
Anger, mistrust and pain
Love is gone forever
It will never be the same

If you want someones future
You forget their past
But you couldn't do that
Any chance of us has passed

You say it's all my fault
Those words so untrue
But where there is blame
There is always pain

The outlook's bleak
Feeling so weak
Dying in my sleep
My dreams you can't keep
