Your Eyes

Looking into your eyes
Is like crossing into another reality
The sun shines bright, not a cloud to be seen
The air holds an energy; crisp, clear and clean

I feel like a bird that has just earned its wings
As I float and soar discovering the things
The world has to offer, grand and beautiful
I could never have imagined all that I see
That is what your sweet clear eyes bring out in me

I feel like the fish, swimming all of its life
Through river and stream encountering contentment and strife
One day the current gains momentum
Scary at first but exciting as well
And suddenly the world increases a thousand fold
The ocean, in its entire splendor, is there to behold

What beauty is there for me to uncover?
What secrets lie deep for me to discover?
The current has me, and forward and forward I cruise
A risk, but odds tell me there is more to gain than I could possibly lose
