Triple Goddess reborn ~ Brigid lights the spark of life ~ PWC Poetry-Short Story Winner

                   Imbolc

From the womb of Mother Earth
Come the seeds of wisdom’s might,
Summoned by the New Yule’s birth,
Dumb no more their vibrant light.

Ignite the spark on Imbolc Day,
Delight in all that life can be,
Invite the Muse, reborn, to stay,
Excite the flame to glow, burn free.

Consecrate the altar bright,
Celebrate the Maid reborn,
Elevate the Mother’s might,
Venerate the noble Crone.

Nascent visions bear new fronds,
Potent moon, the Goddess Three,
Vibrant power, Brigid’s wands
Silent no more, Blessed Be!

Poetic Form: Double Lento = four stanzas, the first word of each stanza rhyming; used abab, cdcd, efef, ghgh for end word rhymes; and tried some rhythm with seven syllables per line.
