Written when I 've never felt so unsure of my future, in nursing, in writing or in health.

A brand new year!
A new beginning?
And by the end
will I be winning?
Will I feel 2007
has been a year
of hell or heaven.
Will I boo or cheer?

I'm depressed and low
and yet still my heart
lightens, begins to show
interest in this new start.
Forward then in trepidation,
step by step this grey-day morn.
I hope to feel again elation
This new year is truly born.
