Friends Forever

A poem I wrote for a friend, for her birthday.

Friends are always there for you
When you need a laugh or a hug
Give them a call or simply a tug.

Friends are always there for you
When you want to hang out
Just give a holler or shout.

Friends are always there for you
If you’re hurt I’ll be there
To show that I really, really care.

Friends are always there for you
Through a good or bad event
For me nothing will prevent.

Friends are always there for you
Even if you turn away
I'll still want to stay.

Friends are always there for you
If you turn your back for good
I'll still be there like I should.

Friends to the end
We will be always complete
Exactly as friends should be.
