Lift Off

Poem written in March of 2006 for my middle school students

          Lift Off

In 6th grade your journey begins
in a world that's different than before-
then 7th grade you sharpen your skills
that will last you forever more-
8th grade is your year of decisions
that will lead a new path for you-
success is in your future
but only if you are true-

So from my heart I would like to add
some feathers to your wings-
Stay Focused and Believe in Yourself
for
YOU CAN ACHIEVE
ANYTHING!
