Throw away the hourglass...
Hide the clockface.
Wait on Me, the Lord has said,
and time is not an object for Him.

I fear "it's too late"
I mumble "it's too early for this"

Let go and put away--
what I know, what I think
for He is not like me.
He doesn't rush;
He doesn't worry.

I groan "I can't handle this"
I hurry "Time is a fire"

Let go and put away--
What I feel, what I want
for He is not like me.
He doesn't mutter;
He doesn't wonder.

The Lord has a plan;
The Lord has a will.
He has said--
"All things work for the good
of those that love Me"--
