I gaze thoughtfully at the lowly lights twinkling
On this quiet December evergreen night

Carolers softly herald greetings, round the new tree,
The red bells gleaming above the metallic colored gifts.

Family men and their brood attend the holy gathering
Around this seasons manger.

Sleigh angels tinkle softly,
Mothers smile as they stuff this year’s wise stocking .
Another holiday season passing, another wrapped year.
