Tear drops

Quietly against the gentle wave
Memories of time pass roll
To hear the bird calls in the air
Of memories of time old

Seemingly as I recall the time of you and me
The tears welled up and begin to fall
As I recall your face

Oh what went wrong, what have we done
To cause such hurt and pain
To cause the teardrops to fall
or do I cry in vain
