about a girl friend i couldn't get off my mind. tenses like english, past, present, etc.

                         

                    my thoughts are parties
                    filled with tenses of you.

                    i smile warmly
                    at the you i first saw
                    and the you i first met.
                    and over there i see
                    you the uncommunicative
                    and there, the you on the phone.

                    i embrace
                    the you i first kissed,
                    the studying you,
                    and you the depressed.
                    there's you the hurtful
                    with you the exhausted,
                    the harried, the uncertain,
                    talking
                    with the playful, the alluring,
                    and the newspaper you.

                    with the tearful,
                    the loving, the bitch,
                    i dance.
                    each you i welcome
                    whether you
                    bring happiness,
                    or pain.
