This is a Shakespeare-style sonnet for anyone that knows what love is. |
| If ever I knew true beauty and love, 'Twas found in the light of her gentle ray That beams from the heavens from far above, Gold like sunshine on a new summer's day. Her heart, the source of this unfading fire And her face, the lamp displaying the flame. At first sight I grew so wild with desire, A state I found not so easily tamed. So long had I lived lonely in the dark; Nothing to love in an eternal night. Yearning for something if just a brief spark To light up my world, for once make me bright. Now we're together, her light never fades, But once in a while she sits in my shade. |
