Child's Cry for Mother

Wrote this for my mother after some big mistakes of mine.

My apologies for your pain that you suffer,
Can not ease the ache of your heart.
Mistakes that I have made,
Only question your parenting.
You were there over the years,
With each and every mistake.
I didn't want to hurt you, you see,
Misjudgement has cost you more than me.
Moving forward with you at my side,
I pray time will heal your heart.
I ask of your advice,
It is I who must comply.
Your tears only remind me,
Of my dreadful past.
I belied you of me,
Your trust no longer there.
Together, we teach each day,
Mistakes made, lessons learned.
Letting go once more, is hard I know,
Allow me to soar, Mother Bird.
