Rantings of my stong dislike of winter..Haiku poetry attemps.. |
| Some Attempts to try my hand at Haiku and to use the medium to share my feelings of my strong dislike (hatred...lol) of Winter in New England. A little tounge and cheek (but not much). Various Haiku Poems By Richard Vance Cold bare dead trees cry Tortured by the cold north wind Bear the pain till Spring! Fall’s bright colors bring Evil angry winter’s march Attacks nature’s living song. Hibernation sleep Animals know what to do Snooze through Hades Ice. Frigid cannons blast Chasing away smiling flowers Spirit feels the sting! Ice along the brook Solid water censors warmth My feet are really cold. Black and dirty snow Salt spread to clear all the roads Eat my car away. Cold! I see my breath My mustache freezes solid Winter’s frozen gift. In a perfect world Not a drop of snow I see Dream on, happily. Cold, ice, snow, blue mood Why not warm, beach, happiness Escape, escape, now! Coats, gloves, scarves, and boots Battle dress for winter’s war Now the killing starts! Gray, dark, bleak surrender Only four months left to go Winter’s curse begun! |
