This is a poem I wrote after one of my girlfriends broke up with me. I hope you enjoy it.

It is not blood or air that
sustains us but the love of another

You can take away my eyes
Yet still I see her face
You can take away my ears
Yet still I hear her voice
You can take away my hands
Yet still I feel the softness of her skin
You can take away my heart
Yet still it beats for her
