unattainable

Yet another poem

unattainable love has left me burned
Longing for healing
and awaiting his return
I poured my heart out and even my soul
All in hopes he would make me whole.

Blinded was I, To no end
All by love, as many people said
How could this be love?
I feel without a heart,
So lost and empty, so unsure
Never have I loved like this before
Ever so fleeting love can be
Leaving me here again all lonely

Unrequited love has brought me here
Left me hurting, but still wanting more
He makes my heart race
But he ran and left no trace
Only small clues
Leading me farther from the truth.

So now I wonder, looking around
Hoping the truth soon will be found.
All I want are answers, no more lies
How is it I could love this guy?
