| The sixties spread its legs and out popped the heads of weed smoking baby boomers cradling rock and rolling in crack with Hendrix in Woodstock or rappers on B.E.T. pimpin' that age old slut who, in a bloody breach birth, pulled the guts right out of America while giving birth to Vietnam and I'raq and I ran with the dead but not the un~grateful who marched on Alabama with the Reverend King and Kennedy, and KK ok we never saw it lasting cuz we're still not free Negroes or Blacks to African America is still pschedelicing out of our minds, outta work and outta the sense we need to ask why are the sixties' still giving birth! by Celeste Butler-Mendez Copyright © October 4, 2006 |
