REVEAL


Searching through the black abyss
Stumbling over pitfalls and sinkholes
Your voice calls to me from far away
Straining to hear the melodious tones
I recognize the call.
Show to me exactly who you are
Wild, beautiful and free
I will give to you all that I am.
Knowing that you won’t judge me.
Reflections of myself in you
Thoughts, feelings and ideals
To fight through all that we are handed.
Engulfed in flame
Your fire burns brighter than any star
Burst into a blazing inferno
Arise from the ashes anew
Stronger and better than before.
Showing the world your will and resolve
Shrieking into the night,
“I AM HERE! THROW YOUR WORST AT ME! I SHALL OVERCOME!”
Through adversity, we shall rise above
Shattered obsidian
Nickname to your heart
Portraying all that you have endured
Holding the broken pieces in my hands, I weep for you
Fearful that they may shred and tear at my own heart,
I cling to them nonetheless.
Take from me all that I have to offer
To love you with all the raw power that I possess.
