A Starry Sky

Have you ever looked up at the night sky?

Looking up at the starry sky
At the dancing specks of light above
Each flicker a sun of its own
A world of its own
Enveloped in an embrace like a child
By the caressing night sky
And they are one.

I wonder
As I gaze up at that starry sky
Whether at this very moment
As I stand here
If there is someone else
In a galaxy faraway
Who stands there as I stand here
