My take on the cognition of Dreams.

DREAMS

Dreams are a psychic nocturnal escape
To the purported Land of Make-Believe
Conjuring visual images in mind
Psychic anarchy is recreated

Dreams fulfill our deep-seated desire
To accomplish tasks deemed too challenging
Dramatizing the experience in reel
Finding the solution incognito

Contra to ideas in the waking state
Dreams are an extension of these ideas
Transforming them to hallucinations
A place to seek solitude and refuge

We are wont to forget dreams when awake
Especially if they are less intense
But remember recurring vivid dreams
Sometimes interfering with our lives

Being in the realm of fantasy
We are somewhat drawn to dreams
Like bees to honey and flies to scent
As a form of escape to the unknown
