A great man

Written for my dad who recently passed

he was the first one to crack a joke,
and the first to crack a smile.
he worked hard everyday
to provide for his wife and child.
not once did he complain
about the blisters on his hands,
he was a great father
and a very honest man.
he will be missed by everyone he knew,
he was a true friend kind through and through.
I'm really going to miss my dad
and his contagious smile,
the camping trips,
and evening drives that went on for miles and miles.
snowmen,baseball games,
fish fries in the back yard.
late night poker games and fishing under the stars.
theres a million things i could say about the good life Ive had,
most of all i hope he knows... im proud to call him dad.
