Lament

Lament upon hearing fantastic poetry

Why can't I write
the poetry I love?
Why is it
that the words I want
aren't the words
that appear in my brain?
So many people
have the gift of words
that I covet beyond all else
but don't have the opportunity
-or perhaps the desire-
to share that gift
with the world.
But I have the opportunity
and the desire
So why don't I have
the words?
