Your voice shattered the silence,my heart, soul lept with joy.
Like a wave as it slowly rolls into shore were my eyes.
Absorbing all of you as I held you so close.
My life would never again be the same,I cared not.
Your smile was equal to only the sun,I realized
a great adventure had been laid out before me.
Silently I wept for your pain,held you close.
For the first time I felt the true depths of the heart
love can reach.
My life began today as did yours and I thanked God.
For blessing my life with you and the years of love,joy
that would follow.
And I held you so close.
