One view about meeting hopefully a new friend

A FRIENDSHIP NEW

Mystery shrouds a friendship new,
Neither knows just what to do.
Some wish they were so smart,
To know it's end from the start.

A friendship new is a wondrous affair,
Electrifying excitement fills the air.
No one knows if it will last,
Or will it end all too fast?

A friendship new is an exciting thing,
The slate is clean of hurt and pain.
An empty book on which to write,
A chance this time...to get it right.

A friendship new is like a seed,
Love can blossom from each deed.
Neglected it will fade and dim,
To never grow or flower again.

I for one think it's great,
Knowing I will have to wait.
I am glad I'm not so smart,
To know the end from the start.
