LOST IN MY HEART

The Lord gave me a life to live;
a song to sing and a love to give,
but the cup it came in is now a sieve
and it’s empty and I’m alone.

So the Lord took care to help me out;
He gave me hope where there was doubt
and filled my heart to break the drought
so I wouldn’t be so alone.

With God around I did take heart
and I allowed Him to do His part.
Through faith I had a brand new start
so I trusted in His love.

But I’ve been blue and feeling down
and wonder sometimes if He’s around
or if He’s left me on the ground
with an aching heart that’s far from sound . . .

and I’m lost right here in my heart.

all playing a part.
