Dreaming About You

Not letting go of a lost love.

Last night I dreamt about you
I had an incredible vision
You looked so beautifully handsome
In your black suit
I stared at you with a sparkle in my eyes
I reached to touch you
But with a smile you pushed my hand away

I put my hands behind my back
And single tear fell down my cheek
I tried to think it over
But you just turned away
I did not say a word to you
I could not open my lips
They were too strong

I looked at your shadow on the wall
I wanted to feel your body
I touched the spot on the wall
To feel the warmth you left behind
Your hand flew to mine
You caught it and held it hard
You did not want to let go

I saw the love and pain in your eyes
They were too strong to let go
You did not want to go away
You never meant to hurt me
I tried to kiss your hand
But you just said three words
"I am sorry" and you were gone forever
