Remember

This poem was written about two days after I had broken up with my boyfriend.

Remember when we used to laugh?
We would be on the phone for hours
Remember all of our shared secrets and memories?
No one knew as much about me as you did
So how could you think that I wouldn't be hurt,
That I wouldn't remember?
How could you think that I would just ignore it,
Pretend that it never happened?
Did you remember?
Remember that I'm not just some girl that you could push over,
Push over and completely ignore?
Well, now it's too late
Because remember
I don't forgive liars that easily
So please remember and don't forget
